Don't know about the Chelsey Flower Show but for events like concerts, they print the name of the person ordering them, so if a person orders for multiple people, all the tickets will have the first person's name on it and I doubt they'll make trouble for that. Just as long as you're holding a valid ticket, it shouldn't be a problem.

What is the scientific name for the hibiscus flower?
Hibiscus is both the common and botanical name.
It's also the state flower of Hawaii.
A great source with pictures and more informations is:
http://www.americanhibiscus.org/index.ht...
Hibiscus syriacus are, I believe a Rose of Sharon.
There also also the tropical hibiscus, very common with growers and a winter hardy hibiscus, Hibiscus Moscheuto
The common hibiscus is believed to be from China, as the botanical name suggests. It's Hibiscus rosa-sinensis

Is there a name for the flower hair accessoriese on the movie geisha and where can i get them?

Is there a name for the flower hair accessoriese on the movie geisha and where can i get them?
Kanzashi are hair ornaments used in traditional Japanese hairstyles. Kanzashi first appeared when women abandoned the tradional taregami hairstyle where the hair was kept straight and long, and adopted coiffured nihongami hairstyles. Kanzashi came into wide use during the Edo period when artisans began to produce more finely crafted products. Some believe they may also have been used for defence in an emergency.
Nowadays, kanzashi are most often worn by brides and professional kimono wearers such as geisha, tayu and yujo or adepts in Japanese tea ceremony and ikebana. However, there is currently a revival among young Japanese women who wish to add an elegant touch to their business suit.
Kanzashi are fabricated from a wide range of materials such as lacquered wood, gold and silver plated metal, tortoiseshell and silk, and recently, plastic. In fact, early bakelite kanzashi are extremely collectible.
There are many varieties and many styles of wearing them. The way in which a geisha wears her kanzashi indicates her status immediately to an informed audience; according to the type and location of the kanzashi. Maiko (apprentice geisha) usually wear more numerous and elaborate kanzashi than older geisha and progress through several hairstyles where the kanzashi must be worn in a fixed pattern.

That's called a rainbow rose, and while some sources say that it is natural, it is actually dyed. They are hand dyed by injecting the stalks in four different places while they are growing...supposedly. I think I remember reading that it came from a guy in Denmark...

What is a good name for a flower shop?
Here's a different approach. Invite over about ten of your best friends for a wine tasting party at your house early in the evening and make sure you have a designated driver or two. After everyone has had a glass or two, and start to giggle tell them you are looking for a name for your flower shop.
You'd be surprised at how creative they become. The more they giggle the more chance there is of something very good coming out of it.
Get several names you like because the challenge will be to find a name that is also available as a web site name. The moment you settle on something, do a search at http://www.godaddy.com to see if the name is available. If you are very lucky and it is, available, buy it immediately. The price is usually less than $10 and you鈥檒l own it for at least a year.
Good Luck

Does anyone know the name of the white night-blooming flower or lilly ? ?
I am trying to find out the name of the white ones that bloom at night %26amp; the purple %26amp;white ones that bloom more from morning til night. They are pretty big %26amp; look like a lilly.
Does anyone know the name of the white night-blooming flower or lilly ? ?
I agree with the moon flower for the night time flower. Clematis is a flower that blooms during the day and does come in purple and white.
Reply:Brugmansia or common name is Angel Trumpets. These plants form huge lily like blooms and show best at night. You will still have the blooms by day day but by afternoon they are pretty well gone. These are not moonflowers and do not grow on a vine. They can become quite large and are gorgeous in the evening and really light up when it is totally dark.
Reply:There is a flower that grows indoors (outdoors if you get no frost) called a night blooming cereus or epiphyllum oxypetalum. It starts to bloom around 8 pm and is completely open around midnight and then closes around dawn. The flower can get between 8-12 inches across.
I will post a picture of mine in bloom. It was almost 9 inches across.
Reply:The moonflower blooms at night but it is a vine. The flower is large and white and fragrant. The similar looking flower that is blue and blooms during the day is a morning glory.

The most common ones use plumerias or orchids. There are also leis made of nuts, like kukui nuts, or leaves, like ti leaves or maile leaves.

depending on how big the flower is I would just call it flower.. or if its a particular flower like: Daisy
um but if its a small flower Id call it something related to the action that's taking place.. like stroll across the street.. or maybe something more romantic
though I think yellow symbolizes friendship or something lighthearted like a first date.. I mean, it could have been a red rose right?
Reply:Sounds cool! Here are some ideas:
~Flower Power
~A Blossoming Couple
~Budding for Joy
~Love is Blooming
Hope this helps!
Reply:i think you have been misunderstood... or you have not stated question correctly
do you need a name FOR your painting
or are you looking for the name OF a painting.....
I think u r looking for a name of a painting by the sound of your question....
so i will see if i can find it its doubtful though

also it seems to multiply each year
I have a grass plant in my garden which flowers each summer with a red/orange flower does anyone know the name
Can you give more details please, height and spread would be useful.
You say it multiplies each year, do you mean that it seeds itself around the garden or just increases itself by bulking up?
OK then there are loads of different things that it could be but at that height it is unlikely to be a Miscanthus. It could come from the Pennisetum group, sorry I can't help much more.
Good luck with finding out.

following your description I have something similar and I believe it is a Crocosmia.
we bought our house last year and don't know what half the flowering shrubs are. To work out what they are I look around the garden centres when I'm there and try and 'spot' our plants so I can identify them!
Crocosmia is a small genus of perennial species in the iris family Iridaceae, native to grasslands in the Cape region (South Africa).
They are commonly known in the United States as coppertips or falling stars, and in Britain as montbretia. Other names, for hybrids and cultivars, include antholyza, and curtonus.
They are now grown worldwide, and more than 400 cultivars have been produced. Some hybrids have become invasive species.
The name is derived from the Greek words krokos (saffron) and osme (smell), referring to the saffron-like scent, when dried flowers are dipped in water.
They are evergreen or deciduous perennial herbs, that grow from basal underground corms. The basal, alternate leaves are cauline (meaning, belonging to the stem) and distichous (meaning, growing in two vertical ranks). The leaves are linear or lanceolate. The blades are parallel-veined. The margin is entire.
They have colourful inflorescences of 4 to 20 vivid red and orange subopposite flowers on a divaricately branched stem. The terminal inflorescence can have the form of a cyme or a raceme. These flower from early summer well into fall. The flowers are sessile on a flexuose arched spike. The fertile flowers are hermaphroditic. All stamens have an equal length. The style branches are apically forked. They are pollinated by insects, birds (hummingbirds) or by the wind. The dehiscent capsules are shorter than wide.
Crocosmia are winter-hardy in warm temperate regions. They can be propagated through division, removing offsets from the corm in spring.
For images of Crocosmia, try Google:
http://images.google.com/images?hl=en%26amp;q=...
Reply:If it is a tiny flower it is possibly the 'Fumitory' so named because it gives off a little puff of 'smoke' when touched.
Reply:It could be crocosmia. Check to see if it comes from a little bulb.

Flower delivery question: will the name of the sender be shown with the delivered flowers?
I sent my friend some flowers because her boyfriend asked me to. The card that comes with the flowers were in his name,(Dear blah blah Love, Markus) but the sender's info was under my name since we put it in my card. Since he paid me in cash. Will my information as the sender be shown at the delivery? I'm afraid she would see that I was the one who arranged the flower delivery process
Flower delivery question: will the name of the sender be shown with the delivered flowers?
It may vary depending on the flower shop that delivers, but every time I have seen flowers delivered the only thing that shows is the card and what it says. They don't see any billing info.

Reply:Dunno what the flower looks like exactly,or how tall it is but if its perennial, and can grow in dry/poor soil, then its possibly a variety of Crocosmia, sometimes known as Montbretia.
It can be split at the roots, when flowering has finished, and the bits transplanted elsewhere.

Where can I find the flower named Frangi Pani or Plumeria Rubra?
please advise the location as specific as possible eg farm with address or city is better than just the country name.
Where can I find the flower named Frangi Pani or Plumeria Rubra?
Frangipani is a tropical plant. I love the smell and wish I could grow it here in Northern California!! It is everywhere in Hawaii and in southeast Asia. Because it needs warm temperatures year round and lots of humidity, it only grows in the southernmost parts of the US. For example, the parts of Florida that get frost would NOT be a good place to grow Frangipani.
Good Luck!!
Reply:I have seen them sold in the nicer flower nurseries in San Diego (not like Target or Walmart nurseries but actual plants only nurseries like Walter Andersen).
Reply:I wonder what country you live in? Here in Australia, nine out of ten back yards have frangipanis.!!

Any ideas for a tattoo of a jasmine flower, but somehow incorporate in somehow that it is my Maltese's name?
Jasmine = my babygirl, she is a Maltese, Im just looking for a cool interpertation of the flower...maybe somehow incorporating or representing that its my puppy's name. I know that may be hard, so if you have cool pics of just the flower that would be great! Thanks!

Maybe you can have small paw prints placed around the flower? or if you really want to represent your little girl (puppy) you can get an image of her?
Reply:Get a good picture (it can be a photograph) of the flower you like. Maybe have her name written in some swishies above or below the flower........the "usual" would be a banner, but I'd rather be more creative. Maybe have it look like it's written in "pixie" dust?

Could anyone tell me the name of this not-so common flower...?
Was hiking, in Mount Banahaw, Philippines and my uncle and I saw this beautiful flower, green leave but the flower is about 8in. diamond shape, 4in in circumference at the base, velvety deep red texture. I dug it up and brought it home and next day, neighbours complained of a foul smell, to my shame it came from the flower, smelt like a dead rat. Just laughed it off and brought it home to the city.
Could anyone tell me the name of this not-so common flower...?
This could be dranuculus (my first guess based on the description)

What is the name of a fall blooming daisy with a flower that look exactly like a shasta daisy.?

did this flower fall off of a tree onto the grass/ if so, it might be a royal poinciana, also called flamboyant tree. those trees grow in the tropics and they have flowers like this.
Reply:It looks like a Grass Lily-- http://images.google.ca/images?q=lilies+...
I hope it helps.
Reply:Without pictures of the base of the blossom, I'm only making an educated guess, but it looks like at least a *relative* of a trout lily. They don't have any leaves along the stems, except at the bottom, if at all. It's not a grass lily, as those have several blossoms coming from a single stem, all connecting to the stem at a single node (think of an amaryllis, if you're familiar with those). Trout lilies and its relatives have "basal" leaves that grow from the base of the stem, close to the ground; some have no leaves at all above ground.
I'd suggest taking more pictures of it from several angles, and contacting a horticulturist at a university in your area; they can help you make a more definite ID.
Whatever it is, it's very pretty :-)
Reply:It looks like an Iris more than anything else. But is not one I am familiar with.
Where does it grow? Is it a garden hybrid, or is it wild? Iridaceae.
Yet it seems to be 5 parted, not double 3's.
Perhaps not actually an Iris (Genus), but something in the Iris family. Quite strange.
How large is this bloom? I like it I want to know more. And my searches are not finding answers. Its not from my part of the world.
Reply:I don't know, some kind of Iris maybe. It's pretty exotic. I've never seen it before, but looking at the foliage and blossom, it looks like some of the Iris that bloom in early spring and like to grow near water.

What's the name of this plant/flower, & how do I care for it? (Picture URL inside)?
I received this plant with beautiful flowers, but the person who gave it to me didn't know its name, so I would like to find out in order to know how to properly care for it. Please check the picture url:
http://i137.photobucket.com/albums/q206/...
If you know what flower it is, that would be a good start, and if you happen to know how often it should be watered and what it's sunlight/shade tolerance is, that'd be great.
What's the name of this plant/flower, %26amp; how do I care for it? (Picture URL inside)?
this plant is called a cyclamen.it likes semi-shade,out of direct sun.not to much water, particularly in winter, just keep moist.in the spring you can put it outside for the summer.
Reply:It is a cyclamen. There are 'florist' type ones that need extra care and are mainly indoor types and there and outdoors with chill factor and under shady tree tough ones.
If you live in a temperate climate the outdoor ones are tough just need semi shade and a regular water not too much though or they will rot off.
The hot house ones need a good glass house environment and a dormant period in shade and are a lot harder to keep going.
Reply:I am not totally sure but you can check the site below. There are numerous Annuals and Perennials listed with photos.
Reply:That is a Cyclamen. Do a search on the internet. You will find all kinds of great info. This is really strange I pulled this up. I received 1 for Christmas and I went online to search for it myself. I have huge trees, lots of shade and it turns out this is a shade plant. Good luck with it!

I would like to know if 'sienna' is a flower name?
Sienna is the name of a city in Italy. A type of earth found there provides a pigment used in paints, and has, as a result, come to be applied to certain colours (raw or burnt sienna).
I would like to know if 'sienna' is a flower name?
no, it's not.
Reply:It does not seem to be a flower. It is a clay having ferric oxide and is used in preparation of pigments.
Reply:Don't know of a flower called sienna, but I know it is a colour.
Reply:The school I went to in Edinburgh was called 'Sciennes' (pronounced sheens) which is a derivation of Sienna which is a town in Italy. There was a convent in Edinburgh, roughly where the school is, run by 'the Sisters of Sienna'. Don't think it's a flower and agree with the others about the colour pigment.

Is there a flower that represents the name Kelly?
Just off the top of my head, I would go with a clover, although that isn't a flower really. Kelly is green, and Kelly is an Irish name, so that's what I would think!
Is there a flower that represents the name Kelly?
Gene.
Reply:My guess would be a shamrock. The shamrock flower is very delicate and very pretty. And of course, very Irish.

Is Canola flower grown in india and is it tapped commercially and what is its Hindi name.?
In India, canola is uncommon, but other species such as Brassica juncea, Brassica nigra and Sinapis alba are widely used for oil extraction.
Canola is the acronym for the Canadian Oil Low Acid crop, developed in 1974, by the Canadian plant breeders from the oil seed rape, genetically modified by conventional techniques, to make it fit for human consumption. Canola is very low in erucic acid (about one per cent), and glucosinolates (30 渭 mol/g). It is considered a healthy edible oil as it contains about 70 per cent of monounsaturated fatty acids such as oleic acid, more than most other edible oils. Canola seed cake can be used as cattle and poultry feed. People miscall it as Rai in Hindi.
Is Canola flower grown in india and is it tapped commercially and what is its Hindi name.?
Canola/Rapeseed is farmed in Northern and Eastern India and tapped commercially for what is known as Rapeseed oil, which is a used as a cooking medium. There is a difference between Rapeseed oil and Canola oil. While the former contains significant amounts of a poisonous substance called erucic acid, the latter contains only traces of the same. In fact Canola oil has been developed through hybridisation of Rapeseed.
References to oilseed rape, called Sarson were found in ancient Sanskrit writings as early as 2000 B.C. The variety Brassica Campestris is thought to be the oldest variety of rapes and mustards grown in India.

Help with flower name in American?
OK, this one person told me that "Kvitek" (Quee-tek) is a flower's name in Czech. What is that flower's name in American?
Help with flower name in American?
Use botainical names, they are in latin and universally known. Common names can vary all over the place.
Reply:I'm pretty sure kvitek means 'flower'...not necessarily a specific type of flower.
Reply:A discription would be nice or a pic

What's the name of a picture taking during the 60s at Ohio St. University of a person sticking a flower in gun
it was taken at a protest demonstration. it's black and white and the man is placing a flower in the barrel of a gun
What's the name of a picture taking during the 60s at Ohio St. University of a person sticking a flower in gun
I looked this up a couple years ago for someone else. The picture wasn't taken at Ohio State. It was a Vietnam War protest in Washington DC, I believe. The photo is called "Flower Power". Here's the link for you:
http://www.abqtrib.com/news/2008/jan/25/...
I think that photo keeps getting confused with the story of one of the slain students who had put a flower in a gun the previous day:
http://speccoll.library.kent.edu/4may70/...
Shortly after four students were killed by National Guard bullets on the Kent State University campus on May 4, 1970, Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko wrote a poem dedicated to Allison Krause, one of the slain students. Its theme was based on the report that the day before her death, Ms Krause had put a flower on a National Guardsman's rifle, saying that "flowers are better than bullets." The poem, "Flowers %26amp; Bullets," was printed in Pravda, the Communist party newspaper.
This site has a lot of pictures related to the Kent State massacre:

Reply:I don't know the name of the photo but I believe it appeared on the cover of either Time or Life magazine and I believe it was actually Kent State University not Ohio St. I know it had to do with Vietnam War protest and pretty sure it was a national guardsmen whose rifle the man put the flower in and shortly after there was a bunch of shooting by the guardsmen. Don't remember which year though. Been a long time ago and my memory isn't what it once was.

Is there a type of flower with a common name that begins with X?
Here are the flower botanical names starting with x http://www.mygarden.net.au/names/scienti...
I don't see any common names starting that way.
Is there a type of flower with a common name that begins with X?
Xylia is an old name for Tribus Adenanthereae, Mimosaceae and has its origin in the graec. word xylon=wood.
No 4 of the named members of the Mimosaceae:
http://www.crescentbloom.com/Plants/Fami...
and here on page 6:http://209.85.135.104/search?q=cache:hI5...
Another very old one could be Xyris=Xiris, an overtaken Indian name of the flower Iris indica=Iris agria foetida.
