Is there a flower named may?
The Hawthorne bush is also called May. Mainly because it flowers in the month of May. An old English saying is "Never cast a clout til May is out". Which means not to move into summer clothes until May is over. Either the flower, or the month, there is some dispute on that one. I hope this helps.
