Or would I need to fly to England for written permission?

I don't think you get patents on names. I think they are just registered with some kind of botanical society.





And I'm pretty sure that if you develop the variety you can name it whatever you want.

Unless is a product created by you.. i mean a "plastic flower" and you name it Rose P.鈾? then you can get a patent for the plastic flower NAME, not the name or flower per se
