What do you think of the name Chrysanthe (cris-ann-thee) it is a greek name, from the chrysanthemum flower. I'd call her Santhe (san-thee) for short not Chrys or Chryssie or whatever.
Also Chrysanthe is the correct spelling but do you think people might not know how to pronounce it, usually I prefer names to be spelt correnctly but I thought about Chrisanthy (my dad has a friend whos daughter is named Chrisanthy).
Another thing. There are a few other Chris names in both mine and my partners families (they have different nick names though) would it matter?
Sorry for all the questions.
This flower name?
I really like it. I also prefer it spelt the first way.
One of the names I had picked out was
Zanthe/ Zanthia/ Xanthe/ Xanthia (hadn't quite decided)
but sounds similar to Santhe
If you like it, go for it.
Reply:I would pronounce Chrysanthe as Chris-an-thuh, but that's because I'm not a phonetics person. I think Santhe is a very cute name for that long name. It's an interesting name and not in the least bit ugly. It doesn't matter that it starts with Chris either although it would be best to spell it Chrysanthe as Chrisanthy looks like a made up version.
Reply:Someone suggested that it sounds like Chris-antha with the way it is spelt. I actually way prefer chrisantha to chrysanthe.
I actually really do like the name you have chosen BUT i think chrisantha is better than chrysanthe because when I slowed down the pronounciation of chrysanthe it sounded like the name chris and anthony put together. So try for Chrysantha!
Reply:i guarantee you that your beautiful daughter will struggle with a name like that her whole life. if people arent mispronouncing it, they will be misspelling it. i guess you could say its a cool name but not to have to live with. if you like the "chris" part, what about a simple, easy to spell, easy to find a cup at disneyland with your name on it (lol) , like christine?
Reply:I think it just lovely i'd never thought about it, i had thought about Chyrsathy (cris-a-thee) but never Chyrsanthe, its gorgeous on every possible way and if you like it that much go for it GURL!

Reply:Its sound badly
Reply:I like it.
Reply:Oh my!!!!
I didn't think so!!!
Reply:I love how you like the unique names! I am the same way. I know this is strange, but as I thought about that name I remember when I was like really young and wrote a story and the young girls name was Chrysanthemum! I love that name! It is so rare and unique. I love it! I also like how you like Santhee for short. Even more rare, and yet just as pretty : )
Also since it is cris-ann-thee, you could also call her Ann for short. If she didn't like Santhe of course. Personally I like Santhe, but you never know with young kids and there friends. I love your creativeness!
